Services

Inside St Mary Kippington

In order to meet the differing requirements of the parishioners, both the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) and Common Worship (CW) are used. The general pattern is:-

Sunday Worship

8.00 am Holy Communion. BCP.
10.30 am 1st & 4th Sunday:-
Holy Communion. CW.
  2nd Sunday:-
Family Service (usually in the Centre), followed by coffee.
  3rd Sunday:-
Morning Prayer. BCP.

N.B. Crèche facilities are available in the Centre during all the 10.30 am services, where young children can be cared for during all, or part, of the service as seems appropriate to their parent.

6.30 pm Evening services as announced in the weekly notice sheet at church. Normally there will be 1662 Evensong on the second Sunday of the month, and informal worship in the Church Centre on the fourth Sunday, both at 6.30pm.

Thursday Worship

10.00 am Holy Communion. CW. Followed by coffee in the Centre.

Worship throughout the year also includes The Maundy Thursday Supper, Sunrise Easter Communion, Harvest Festival, Christingle (with the lighting of the Christmas Tree and Kippington Residents carol service), the Carol Service and other ‘special’ services, including local schools, as appropriate.
