What was his background?
Born in Sevenoaks in 1896, he was commissioned in the Royal Marines in 1914.

What was his role in The Great War?
Joseph was attached to the Royal Marine Light Infantry, Portsmouth Battalion. He was killed during the Gallipoli Campaign.
