What was Henry’s connection with Kippington?
His parents, Henry (a fur and skin merchant) and Jessie resided at ‘Sunnybank’, The Drive, and Sevenoaks.

What was his background?
Born in Lewisham in 1893, he had been a member of the Officers Training Corps at Tonbridge School and also at the Inns of Court when studying law at Lincoln’s Inn.

What was his role in The Great War?
Henry was attached to the 1st Battalion, The Queen’s Own Royal West Kent Regiment. He was killed during The Battle of Hill 60 in Belgium.
