Sevenoaks welcomes refugees

We are pleased, as Vicar and Churchwardens of St. Mary Kippington, to join in with an initiative of 'Sevenoaks Welcomes refugees'  to publicise during UK Refugee Week (14th to the 20th of June) a new campaign to find more landlords in the Sevenoaks district area.

The UK Government's global resettlement scheme is open again, which means that selected vulnerable refugees are able to come and build new lives in the UK. Here in the Sevenoaks district area, an alliance of Kent County Council, Sevenoaks District Council, Clarion Housing and Sevenoaks Welcomes Refugees is ready and waiting to welcome and support some more families. All they need is a few more private sector properties that the Scheme can rent.

They wish to get more landlords to know more about the Scheme and understand how it works and how much they will get paid. If you are a landlord then please click on the link below to access this information.

Thank you.

Kippington Cat - Then & Now!

This is the last ever issue of Kippington Cat.  He first wrote his comic for us back in 2008, and came out of retirement in 2020 to provide some fun and activity ideas as Covid19 lockdowns started to take effect.  He is now retiring for good, and this is his final offering.  (For a bit of fun, he has also sent in one of the olden versions from 2012, so you can see how much he changed and grew!)

Thank you for reading and goodbye.
