St L:uke's Church is hosting a charity event on Friday 26th September, starting at 6.00pm. The visiting charity does a lot of work with the marginalised and vulnerable members of society in Chennai. The Founder and his wife are over in the UK and have been invited to give a talk about their work. The evening will finish with a light Indian buffet. No tickets required and no admittance fee, however please add your name to the list if you would like to attend. Further information about the Charity is in the newsletter.
Christmas Fair
Plans for our Christmas Fair are underway. Please note that donations are not required until Sunday 12th October. Donations of plants, cakes and biscuits will be required much nearer the time.
Upcoming Events:
Saturday 4th October
We will be celebrating Harvest Festival with a Ploughman's supper using locally grown produce. If you would like to attend, please add your name to the list at the back of Church.
Sunday 5th October
We will be supporting Loaves N Fishes again this year at our Harvest Festival Family Service. The newsletter contains a list of items that the foodbank are specifically asking for. We have designed this week's newsletter so the items for the foodbank form a ready-made shopping list for you.
Anyone new wishing to receive the newsletter in the weekly email, please email kippingtontreasurer@hotmail.com.
If you have any notices for next week's newsletter, please email them to Sue, no later than Tuesday, via the office email: office@stmaryssevenoaks.org. Thank you.
